Stuff to Know If You Go

Want to help run this group by organizing restoration workdays, nature hikes, and camping trips in the Chicagoland region? Contact habitat2030@gmail.com

H2030 workdayBring

For our habitat restoration workdays, all you need is a pair of tough shoes or boots, a sweatshirt and coat if it’s cold, long pants, long-sleeved shirt, a water bottle, and a hat. We’ll supply work gloves and tools.

We strongly recommend against nylon or other synthetic fabrics, as sparks from the fire will melt holes in them.

Conditions

Come rain, cold, or shine—we only stop work in downpours and lightning storms, and the fire’ll keep ya warm! When in doubt, check the events page, where we’ll post rare cancellations if necessary.

Carpools

We encourage carpooling. Please comment on individual Facebook event pages or reach out to habitat2030@gmail.com to try to organize carpools.
